We sat down with Business Management graduate Kathy Schmidt to discuss what motivated her to go back to college, and why she chose the Albertus Magnus College New Dimensions Program.
It was my first foray into college. I had always wanted to go to college after high school, and life kind of got in the way because I was interested in other things. Once my children started college I decided it was time for me to go to college.
I had never really worked with a team per se, so it just made my learning experience stronger and also having that team experience helps in my work environment as well. It developed strong friendships that I’ve just kept the past four years.
Having an intended graduation date was great for me because I had that goal of knowing I will really finish and get my degree in 4 years; I didn’t want to flounder and have it take 6 or 8 years. I knew down the road I could further my career by having a degree, in particular a bachelor’s degree, and I knew I would get ahead by having my degree.
If you are wanting to go back to school to get your degree, and you’re hesitant, you should make the decision to go because it’s well worth it. You’ll never regret it. Now is the time to go!
