Networking Towards Your Future | Lisa Mezzanotte ’01

Lisa Mezzanotte ’01

Lisa Mezzanotte began working for the City of New Haven during an internship while attending Albertus Magnus College. Little did she know that this experience would build long lasting connections over a decade later. Lisa received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Business Economics with a concentration in Accounting in 2001. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a part of the Tau Pi Phi Honors Society for Business and Economics.

“I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life back then. I knew I wanted to be in the financial industry. The Tax Collector happened to be a professor while I attended Albertus.” Through this professional contact, Lisa was able to secure an internship. “Thanks to a partnership with the College, I was able to do my internship in the tax office. 19 years later, I am still employed with the City Of New Haven!” Lisa also notes that she works with fellow Albertus alumni in her office.

After a successful internship, Lisa was asked to stay on board. Soon after she was secured a new role as Project Leader for the Office of Information Technology. She currently works as the Financial Manager in the Office of Management and Budget for the City of New Haven.

“The Tagliatela School of Business and Leadership offers students Albertus faculty with real-world experience who are dedicated first and foremost to teaching and advising”, says Professor Aniskovich, J.D., Chair of the School of Business.
