Criminal Justice students at Albertus Magnus College presented a check of $500 to the Hamden Youth Center on Tuesday, November 19, as part of their annual toy drive. This project is not only a part of their classroom learning, but it also demonstrates the Dominican traditions of community and service. Several of the students are from Hamden, and Tayyeb Hamid pictured below, is the President of the Criminal Justice club and also a police explorer for the Hamden Police Department.
