Albertus Students Learn How to Become Effective Leaders

The Leadership Immersion Program consists of an intensive three day workshop held at Albertus Magnus College where incoming students learn the practical applications to effective leadership; decision-making, time management, and relationship building. Led by Dr. Howard Fero, the program provides first year students at Albertus to receive academic credit and a scholarship for participation in the program and academic excellence during their first year. The 2019 Leadership Immersion Program was held on August 14th through August 16th, 2019.

A part of this experience is exploring the New Haven area and meeting with community leaders. This year students visited the studio of News Channel 8, Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessy LLP, the Shubert Theatre, and many more local spots in New Haven.

This is an opportunity for promising first-year students to develop the leadership habits and skills that will enable them to succeed personally, professionally, academically, and as members of society.
