My Internship Experience at Tucci Elite Baseball

This summer, I have the opportunity to complete my internship at Tucci Elite Baseball in Norwalk, Connecticut. During my internship, I work with athletes between the ages of 9 and 15, helping them develop their baseball skills while also teaching them the importance of teamwork, discipline, and having a positive attitude.
Being able to work with these athletes has been one of the most enjoyable parts of my internship. I have always had a passion for sports, so having the opportunity to coach and mentor younger players has been a great experience. Every day is different, and I enjoy helping players improve while building relationships with them and watching their confidence grow throughout the season.
Albertus Magnus College has helped prepare me for this role in many ways. I have taken Sports Information and Media, Ethics in Sports Management, and Business Communication with Dr. Kristen DeCarli. These classes have helped me develop communication, leadership, and professional skills that I use every day during my internship. Sports Information and Media taught me how important communication and professionalism are in sports organizations. Ethics in Sports Management helped me understand the responsibilities that come with being a leader and role model for young athletes. Business Communication has helped me become more confident when working with players, parents, and other coaches.
One of the things I enjoy most about this internship is that I get to do more than just coach practices. During games, I help put together lineups, observe player performances, and analyze how the game is going. This has helped me learn more about the strategic side of baseball and understand how coaches make adjustments throughout a game. Being involved in these decisions has given me valuable hands-on experience and allowed me to apply what I have learned in the classroom to real situations.
Overall, this internship has been a great learning experience and has helped me grow both personally and professionally. It has confirmed my passion for working in sports and has given me valuable experience that will help me in my future career. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with Tucci Elite Baseball and thankful to Albertus Magnus College for helping prepare me for this experience.
