Grand Openings are always fun but our newly renovated classroom space in East Hartford is literally a blessing. Albertus Magnus College celebrated its new East Hartford campus home at 225 Pitkin Street on September 30 with prayer as well as a little pomp and circumstance. Students, staff, trustees, alumni, and area employers all believe a degree from Albertus is making a difference in people’s lives and in the workplace.

Albertus President Marc M. Camille, Ed.D. and East Hartford Mayor Marcia A. Leclerc shared what distinguishes Albertus students — especially when it comes to having the adult learner in mind.
One such student is Rochelle of Hartford. She’s working towards her bachelor’s degree in Human Services. She wanted to improve her chances for promotion and knew completing her degree was the ticket.
“I chose Albertus for the flexibility and the location,” Rochelle said, noting that she takes classes both online and in the classroom. The location is perfect for family reasons.
“I can drop my daughter off at cheerleading practice and then come here,” she said.
As for her reaction about the renovated classroom and workspace, Rochelle couldn’t be more pleased.

“It feels like Albertus!” she exclaimed.
One of the most broadly accepted metrics compiled by colleges is how bachelor’s degree recipients fare six months after graduation. For Albertus Magnus’ Class of 2018, 96 percent were either employed full-time or furthering their education. This is the third consecutive year Albertus graduates have been at a 96 percent outcome or higher.
