Through the Lens: A Visual History of Albertus, The Pillar of Service
“When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed” – Maya Angelou
Giving our time to the Albertus community, whether through your role on campus or in your free time is something to be cherished. The relationships that we can create through serving our students is something that creates community and gives back to the overall community. We often say that Albertus is like a family, a group that we have chosen to be a part of, and in doing that, we are forever connected through our service to others.
In my over 20 years at Albertus as a staff member, I’ve found an incredible community of students and former students that have allowed me to maintain friendships and relationships that have lasted the test of time. It’s so amazing to see folks come back to campus for Homecoming & Family Weekend, Commencement, Alumni Events and other programs. It’s also been very special to see everyone’s reactions to the renovations of the Campus Center. Through these relationships, I feel that I have served not only the college, but the community.
Here is a sampling of photos from my time at Albertus; whether it’s with our Orientation Leaders, CAB & SGA leaders, chaperoning various off campus trips and conferences, hanging out with co-workers, seeing alumni come back to campus at Fall Fest/Homecoming & Family Weekend or even just on campus for our annual events such as the President’s Christmas Party, the Campus Wide Carnival or our most popular Late Night Breakfast, each event is special in it’s own way and each person that has come through our office and made a difference at Albertus has also left a profound impact on the student experience.
