Whether it’s her liberal arts foundation or lifelong friendships, Albertus has given Tina much to
be grateful for, and she has been expressing her thanks as a loyal supporter of the College ever
since.

Tina went on to earn her MBA at Fairleigh Dickinson University and enjoyed a successful career
in the corporate world. Throughout it all, Tina has always appreciated how well Albertus
prepared her.

“I learned many things at Albertus—academically, socially and spiritually,” says Tina. “But the
value of self, and the spirit of ‘yes you can’ are the most evident.”

It’s not lost on Tina that while Albertus looks a little different today than when she attended,
some things haven’t changed a bit.

“It’s a school that still holds values I believe in,” says Tina. “Study, Prayer, Community,
Service—especially in this current world, are really important. That motivates me to contribute.”
Tina’s husband, Tom, is also an ardent supporter of higher education, specifically to his alma
mater, Rider University. Together, they are firm believers in the idea of investing in your
diploma and providing access to education.

Sadly, Tina’s father passed away while she was at Albertus, and the unexpected loss created a lot
of uncertainty. Tina applied to a summer program at Georgetown University that included an
internship at the White House under the Ford administration. Without the generous scholarship
she received, Tina would not have experienced that once in a lifetime opportunity.

“I am a beneficiary of scholarship,” says Tina. “Somebody, who I never really knew or met,
funded that program.”

Now, it’s Tina who is paying it forward to others.
