The Albertus Magnus College faculty and staff are beyond proud of the Class of 2022. Albertus students excel inside and outside of the classroom, soaring in their academics while getting involved in the campus community. Here are just a few of this year’s success stories:

Le’Nina Williams ’22 knows all about paying it forward. After the Make-A-Wish Foundation granted her wish to go to Costa Rica, she later became part of the Wish Team through her internship with the organization. It’s an experience she will never forget. Nina can also never forget the support from her family and Albertus staff members along the way. Learn more about our Business Management Program here.

Steven Sciaraffa ’22 broke the mold of the expectation of a commuter student, never missing an opportunity to be involved on campus. From serving in student clubs to working as a tech tutor, he took advantage of everything the College could offer. Steve decided on a business management degree with a concentration in marketing, confident about his technical skills and desire to learn more about communication and business. Angel Ramirez-Rivera ’22 first heard about Albertus on the radio, and it prompted him to take a chance on finishing his education. As a first-generation college graduate, taking that chance has paid off. Angel was worried his credits from his community college days would go to waste, but Albertus accepted them. Now, with a bachelor’s degree coupled with his experience on his resume, Angel is one step closer to his goal of becoming a director in healthcare. Amina Khokhar ’22 truly knows what it means to be a leader and goes above and beyond to make the Albertus campus a better place for her fellow Falcons. Mina’s dedication as the Campus Activities Board President, a writing tutor, and an artist, just to name a few accolades, has strengthened the Albertus community. What’s next for Mina? Working for the Arts Council of New Haven and earning an MBA at Albertus! Learn more about our MBA Program here.

Jacqueline Purcell ’21 ’22 is proof that it’s never too late to start over. After being incarcerated, Jacquie knew she wanted to help other women like herself. She founded the organization Evolution Reentry, and as of August 2022, she will have a master’s degree in criminal justice from Albertus Magnus College.
