Albertus student, Nayelli Garcia ’23, has recently been awarded the 2020 Connecticut Association of Latinos in Higher Education (CALAHE) Scholarship.

This highly competitive scholarship program selects full-time Latinx students who have demonstrated high academic achievement, financial need, and a history of community service within the Latinx community.

Nayelli is currently studying Chemistry and is a part of the Albertus Honors Program. Originally from East Haven, Connecticut, Nayelli is also on the Women’s tennis team.

“As a member of CALAHE, I am thrilled that one of our Latinx Fearless Falcons is celebrated for her hard work and merit” said Sr. Ana Gonzalez, OP., a Dominican Sister of Peace and Coordinator of International Admissions at Albertus.
