Hello, my name is Arle Cruceta Garcia ’23. I am a first year student and I plan to study Education, but I also want to study Philosophy here at Albertus Magnus College.
I am an international student from the Dominican Republic. I applied to a lot of colleges, but Albertus was the first to reach out to me. Sr. Ana Gonzalez was very friendly and cared about my future. Through conversations, I realized Albertus truly was the best fit for me. Albertus was so welcoming!
One piece of advice that I would give to international students who wish to study at Albertus, is to be opened minded about the new culture, I know it is hard (especially when you are far away from your family and your friends) but everything slowly gets better. My plan after graduation is to attend an art and design school. With the work I’ve done so far in the Albertus art department, I know I will do well because I am prepared.
