Third Week of Lent
“In out of the way places of the heart,
Where your thoughts never think to wander,
This beginning has been quietly forming,
Waiting until you were ready to emerge.”

This is the first stanza of a poem entitled, “New Beginnings. It is a poem I always return to because it reminds me that something new is always a possibility. Perhaps it is not a new heart that is needed. Perhaps it is about awakening the heart we’ve been given to a deeper capacity to love.
