Albertus Small Business Saturday: The Story of Alexia Levin-Liberator ’14 and Healthy Healing & Wellness.

For Alexia Levin-Liberator ’14, healing isn’t one-dimensional. Through her practice, Healthy Healing & Wellness, she helps people care for their mental, physical, and spiritual health in ways that feel connected and sustainable.
What started as Alexia sharing her own daily wellness habits slowly grew into something much bigger. Over time, she found herself drawn to new approaches to healing, eventually discovering the work that has become central to her practice today: psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. She calls it an incredible honor to walk alongside people as they face challenges, transform old patterns, and begin to heal in deeper ways than they thought possible.
The Albertus Impact: From Curiosity to Career
Alexia’s journey was shaped by her time at Albertus. Inspired by professors like Dr. Tronsky and Dr. Joy, she found herself drawn to psychology, research, and the deeper questions about what it means to support others.
“Being part of a close-knit college community gave me the chance to explore different modalities of learning and hands-on experiences,” Alexia reflects. “Those opportunities helped build the foundation for my career and my clinical master’s degree.”
Those early opportunities, and the support of her professors, helped her realize that social work and counseling were not only possible, but also aligned with who she was becoming.
Advice for Future Entrepreneurs
Alexia knows how intimidating it can feel to take a leap into entrepreneurship, especially when your path doesn’t look like what you expected. Her advice is simple:
“Trust yourself and know your worth. It can be scary to deviate from the plan you thought you were ‘supposed’ to follow, but those changes often lead to the most rewarding growth. One of the greatest gifts of entrepreneurship is the autonomy you hold over your time, your decisions, and your career—it’s both empowering and fulfilling. Lean into gratitude throughout the journey, and do your best to release what no longer serves you.”
Looking Ahead: Supporting the Next Generation
Alexia is excited to expand the ways Healthy Healing & Wellness supports students and the broader community. While she plans to offer formal internship placements in the future, she currently provides opportunities for shadowing, learning, and observation within her clinical and wellness space.
Beyond one-on-one experiences, Healthy Healing & Wellness also hosts events and retreats designed to help people step away from daily stress, recharge, and reconnect. This October, Alexia will be leading a half-day retreat, Living in Alignment, which offers students a chance to pause mid-semester, refuel, and realign.
Alexia welcomes students and community members to register for Living in Alignment HERE (https://www.healthyhealingandwellness.com/events-main/wellness-retreat).
