Sr. Cathy Returns to Boston for “The Courage to Preach”

Dear Albertus Community,

I’m back from Rome and off to Boston College again this summer to complete my class called “The Courage to Preach” that I began last year. I will be in Boston for two weeks in July and I hope to, as I did last year, bring back to Albertus what I am learning so I can share with our students the tips and practices of how to create good preaching.

I feel a little more confident this July than I did last year when I felt like a freshman arriving on a campus I had never been to before. I’m hoping to be better equipped to navigate the campus, in finding where to check in to get my dorm key and to find where I need to go to get a parking pass! All of these things I’m sure most of my Albertus students can understand! 

Once I have completed these multitude of tasks, including finding my dorm and Boston College school ID, I will be ready to find my classroom and join my cohort as we study together and support each other in our journey to become better preachers.

Until then, I will try to connect with some Dominican Sisters, family and friends while I’m in Boston to help me navigate the city and see some fun sights!

I’ll keep you updated as my class progresses and let you know how I am doing. Until then, I hope that you are having a great summer.
