Mohun Musings – Centennial Newsletter
Congratulations to the Class of 2025! As Albertus’ Legacy Class, we salute you and all of your accomplishments as we celebrate loudly and proudly our last graduating class of our first century.
Did you know that on June 13, 1928, twelve students crossed the steps of Rosary Hall, just as you will do, to become the first graduating class of Albertus Magnus College? These twelve graduates marked the beginning of Albertus’ legacy and few were more proud of Albertus’ “first harvest” than Mother Stephanie Mohun. Although she did not attend the inaugural commencement ceremony in person, she sent the following wishes to Albertus and its students via telegram on June 9, 1928:

“The first graduates of Albertus Magnus College –
Congratulations [from] all the Sisters May God fill your young hearts with his choicest gifts-
Mother Stephanie.”

To the Sisters of Albertus, Mother Stephanie also sent her congratulations:
“The Dominican Sisters-
Loving congratulations on this happy occasion which crowns [with] success your labors and sacrifices-
Mother.”
Now, almost one hundred years later, we wish our graduates all the best as they celebrate their successes and embark on a new chapter of their lives. Although Albertus’ 99th academic year has come to an end, we eagerly await welcoming everyone back (including our newest alumni!) in the fall for our Centennial Celebration!
