Wallingford Chief of Police John Ventura ’22 did not think earning a master’s degree was in his future, but Albertus made it achievable. Chief Ventura says it wasn’t easy, but the challenge is part of what made the entire experience worth it.

“I would have never imagined that twenty years after getting my Bachelor’s Degree that I would find myself back in school in pursuit of a Master’s Degree. The faculty at Albertus Magnus College were overwhelmingly supportive in every facet of my experience. They were available for any questions that I had and made themselves available to fit my busy work schedule. The course curriculum was challenging and applicable to my field of study and I was able to interject real-world issues from my profession into the teachings, which greatly enhanced my overall learning experience. Albertus Magnus College has provided me with the tools necessary to not only be successful in my position but also to better serve my community. ” –John Ventura ’22,
Chief of Wallingford Police Department

In addition to his studies, Chief Ventura was recognized at the 2022 Laurel Awards Ceremony for being inducted into Kappa Gamma Pi National Catholic Honor Society.
