As an Academic Advisor and Student Success Counselor at Albertus Magnus College, the best part of my job is getting to know my students. We have a very diverse student body – especially with our adult learning population – and everyone has a unique journey that brought them here.
My job is to help you navigate that journey. Yes, there are challenges. Some students are attending college for the first time and, for others, it’s been quite a long time since they’ve been in class. My role is to help you understand the educational system from the very beginning and connect you with the resources you need to succeed. It could be tutoring, career services, juggling family-job-school – it doesn’t matter – we’ll meet one-on-one from Day one.
At the end of the journey, you’ll have your family cheering you on at graduation – trust me, they’ll be your biggest fans.
For me, I’ll have a front-row seat and I’ll have the satisfaction of seeing your transformation. I love my job.
