August 17, 2019 — Albertus Magnus College celebrated with the Connecticut Art Therapy Association (CATA) for the passing of a bill regarding Connecticut’s Art Therapy licensure policies. A silent auction was held in the Tagliatela Academic Center Atrium to raise money for the CATA Student Scholarship Fund.
This past February, Albertus art therapists and art therapy students gathered to share information with representatives from across Connecticut in Hartford for Art Therapy Advocacy Day.
The Master of Arts in Art Therapy program is an important part to the academic programming at Albertus. Albertus Magnus College has accreditation for its Art Therapy program through the Commission of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). CAAHEP’s accreditation standards are established by CAAHEP, the Accreditation Council for Art Therapy Education (ACATE) and the American Art Therapy Association (AATA).
