Buena Suerte a Barcelona Alexis Mack!

This semester we are happy to feature blog updates from Alexis Mack, a senior Communications Major spending a semester in Barcelona, Spain. Below is her first update!

“January 8th of 2017 is the day of new.  On this day I will have traveled to a new country (Spain), where I will meet new friends, attend a new school and overall experience a world that is new to me.

IMG_3422Prior to this new journey, I spent an immense amount of time filling out papers, sending in applications, as well as working to be able to afford it all.  This past year may have been a hectic one but the stress was and will be worth it.

Looking back on the process to study abroad, I realize that I would not have been able to grasp this opportunity without the help, love and support of several of my professors, some of the Albertus staff and of course, my friends and family.  I will be sure to keep them in mind as I roam the streets of Barcelona for personal souvenirs.
Though I left the United States on January 8th, I did not arrive in Spain until the 11th.  I spent the first two days in London, England.  During these 48 hours I did touristy things, such as visiting Big Ben and the Buckingham Palace.  I also came across a bright red telephone booth, so of course I had to take a picture.  London called, but unfortunately I could not talk long, as my next stop was to Barcelona…”
