Winter

Women’s Basketball

The women’s basketball team finished its season 17-10 and 11-3 in the GNAC for a third-place finish. The Falcons won their quarterfinals match up against No. 6 seed Anna Maria before succumbing to Saint Joseph’s (Maine) in the semifinals.

Caitlyn Scott became the all-time leading scorer in program history, breaking the record on Senior Day against Regis and finished her career with 2,100 points. She was named to the All-GNAC first team and the D3Hoops.com All-Region 1 third team.

Diamond Scott eclipsed the 1,000-point mark in the team’s first game of the season against New Jersey City University and finished as the ninth all-time leading scorer with 1,447 points. She was named to the All-GNAC second team.

Jakara Murray-Leach was named the GNAC Defensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season and was named to the All-GNAC third team. She finished her career fourth all-time in scoring at Albertus with 1,779 points.

Women’s Ice Hockey

Albertus women’s ice hockey wrapped up its first season in the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) with a 6-18-2 overall record and a 4-13-1 conference mark.

The Falcons’ first two wins in conference play came against New England College in overtime on January 10-11 as Molly Martin scored the game winner in both games. 

Albertus clinched the eighth seed in the NEHC tournament in the final weekend of the regular season as it swept Salem State in a pair of one goal games. 

Men’s Basketball

The men’s basketball team finished their season with a 16-11 overall record and 11-3 in the GNAC, finishing fourth in the conference.

The Falcons took down No. 5 seed Norwich in the GNAC quarterfinals, 72-57 before falling to eventual conference champion, Saint Joseph’s (Maine).

Ta’zhon Daniels was named to the All-GNAC first team while Ray Ford, Jr. was named to the third team.

Daniels averaged a career-high 17 points and had four games over 30 points. He also hit a game-winning buzzer beater against Emerson for the team’s first win of the season.

Men’s Ice Hockey

The men’s hockey team made history in its inaugural season in the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) as it defeated the back-to-back Division III National Champions and top-ranked Hobart on January 31, 3-2 in overtime. Zane Kindrachuk scored the dramatic game-winning goal that snapped an NCAA record 42-game unbeaten streak and 31-game winning streak.

The Falcons finished their season 12-13-1 overall and 9-10-1 in the NEHC, placing them eighth in the standings, which qualified them for the conference tournament.

Sam Anderson finished as the program’s all-time leader in goals (36) and points (77).

Tyler Ignazzitto was named to the All-NEHC Third Team.

Men’s Ice Hockey defeated three-time National Champion Hobart University in the Nest this winter.

Women’s Swimming

The women’s swimming team finished its season with wins over SUNY Delhi and Elms in Dual Meets. During the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championships, first-year Silvia Valeria Avila Estrada made program history becoming the first swimmer in program history to win a major award as she took home the conference Rookie of the Year award.

During the GNAC Championships, Avila Estrada won the 400-yard individual medley, the 100-yard breaststroke, and the 200-yard breaststroke. She also finished second in the 100-yard freestyle. She was named to the GNAC All-Conference team as well for finishing in the top three in those events. 

Spring

Softball

The Falcons made a run to the finals of pod play in the GNAC Tournament as they finished 27-17 on the season. Their 27 wins were the third most in team history. Albertus had an 11 game winning streak, tying them for the second longest winning streak in program history. Karla Carangelo was named the GNAC Rookie of the Year and was named to the All-GNAC Second Team along with Skylar Arent and Annabelle Jabs. Arent and Jabs both reached major milestones as Arent had her 200th career strikeout and her 100th career hit. Jabs also reached 200 career strikeouts.

Softball made an impressive run for the Conference title.

Baseball

Albertus went 9-22 overall and 4-12 in the GNAC. Albertus scored a season-high 19 runs in a 19-7 win over Gwynedd Mercy for its first victory of the season. The Falcons had a three-game winning streak during a stretch in April with a doubleheader sweep over Norwich, followed by a win over Wesleyan. Elijah Spataj was named to the All-GNAC Second Team as a designated hitter after batting .390 with two home runs, 28 RBI and 18 runs. He finished his career fourth all-time in home runs with 17. Classmate Shawn Smith, who hit six home runs on the season, finished his career second all-time in home runs with 19.

Men’s Lacrosse

Under new head coach Chris Bronander, the Falcons went 5-10 overall and 2-7 in the GNAC, increasing their win total by two from the previous season. The Falcons had a three-game winning streak during the season, including a 21-1 win over Mitchell in the team’s first GNAC win of the season. First year Anthony Brikes led the team with 23 goals and Cooper Strecker led the team with 19 assists and 34 points.

Women’s Tennis

The women’s tennis team began their inaugural season with a match play win over SUNY Cobleskill where the Falcons won each of their four matches. They later went on to do the same to Western Connecticut State University, including a 9&8 win by Tori Walsh and an 8&7 win by Kayla Clark. Molly Martin won the final tournament of the year at the Rhode Island College Spring Invitational.

Men’s Tennis

The Falcons set a program record with five wins to start the season and finished the season 7-3. including two wins over York College (N.Y.). Erich Chamandy went 8-0 in singles play and 5-3 in doubles to lead the Falcons. Caden Pattison went 6-3 in both singles and doubles. The seven wins for the team was the most since the 2022 season when they won eight matches.

Women’s Lacrosse

The women’s lacrosse team finished 0-15 on the season. Delaney Schlechtweg led the Falcons with 17 points (6 goals, 11 assists). Alexys Signor led the team with 10 goals, including a pair of two-goal games on the season.
