The Importance of the Roberta B. Willis Scholarship

Albertus senior Leilim Chang-Salazar ’20 testified this week in Hartford, Connecticut on the importance of the Roberta Willis Scholarship Program with other private colleges in the area. Hear Leilim’s full story.

“I was born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut. I’m a senior at Albertus Magnus College and I’ll be graduating in May with a double major — a B.A. in Communications and a B.S. in Health Care Management. As a first-generation college student in this country, it was a challenge for me to understand how to pay for college and how costly it would be. In my sophomore year, I was planning to transfer because of the financial burden. I am eternally grateful that the Roberta Willis Scholarship Program was able to help me stay.”
