Move-In Day for first year students at Albertus Magnus College kicks-off on Friday, August 27th.
Living on campus for the first time can be intimidating. We asked our incoming students on social media to submit questions to our Resident Assistants about navigating residential life.

Amina Khokhar, Ana Lucia Gutierrez Gomez, and Kennedy Porter took time out of their busy RA training week to answer these questions:
Question #1: What are the shared spaces and bathrooms like in the residence halls?
Amina: “Each floor in Dominican Hall, the first year res building, is going to have two bathrooms: one for men and one for women, and they’re separated. The mansions for upperclassmen are a little different. There are bathrooms scattered throughout the building.”
Amina also mentions that there are common rooms in the halls free for anyone to use.
Question #2: What happens if I lose my room key?
Kennedy: “So you don’t want to lose it. It costs $200 to replace the physical key to your room. In order to get into all the buildings that are on campus, you have card access.”
Question #3: How much room is under the beds for storage?
Kennedy: “I think there’s a good amount of space. You can fit, I would say, about two smaller storage bins under there, stacked.”
Amina also notes that the beds are adjustable.
Question #4: What’s the best part about living on campus?
Lucia: “I play two sports so it’s easier to move around, take a break, take a nap, and then go back.”
Lucia also mentions that there are plenty of activities on campus and in the area to take part in over the weekends.
Kennedy: “I love living on campus mainly for the community, having free range to meet new people on campus, and doing different things.”
