Albertus International Students Celebrate Canada Day

Hear from three international students from different parts of Canada as they celebrate their home country on Wednesday, July 1, 2020.

My name is Dionisios Antoninus, I am in the Albertus Class of 2023, and I’m from Saskatoon, Canada. My photos highlight my hometown of Saskatoon, the largest city in the province of Saskatchewan.  These images highlight the South Saskatchewan River Delta and the Broadway Bridge. Our nickname is derived from the nine rivers that cross our city.

Hi, I’m Sebastien Laquerre from the Class of 2023, and I live in Levis, Canada. My hometown is in the Province of Quebec near Quebec City. My Canadian experience is filled with natural beauty. As you can see from these images, I am surrounded by waterways, hills, and mountains. These images of Canada are from Parc National de la Jacques Cartier and from the shore of the St. Laurence River in my backyard!

I am Charles Risk, Class of 2023, currently living in Medicine-Hat, Canada. My home, Medicine Hat is located in Alberta, Canada. We are surrounded by the tranquility of the prairies.  The pictures I share with you feature our signature prairies, friends, and the largest Teepee in the world,  The Saamis Teepee.  The Teepee stands on the Saamis Archeological Site and it serves as a symbol of the Canadian Plains Indians.
