Through the Lens: A Visual History of Albertus, A Living Legacy of Tradition at Albertus
At Albertus Magnus College, tradition is a living legacy that connects generations. As we enter our second century, we celebrate both the cherished traditions that have stood the test of time and the new ones that continue to bring our community together.
As a student, I had the opportunity to connect with alumni from across the decades through events like the Golden Society Reunion. I still remember sitting outside the Campus Center during my first reunion, listening to alumnae share treasured stories from their time at Albertus. I was inspired by their experiences and quickly came to appreciate the rich history of traditions that define the Albertus experience.
While I embraced longstanding traditions like the Candlelight Ceremony, I also had the chance to help shape new ones, such as the Pons Party and the Christmas Tree Lighting. These celebrations show how tradition at Albertus is both preserved and reimagined with each generation.
Today, in the Office of Advancement, I take great pride in helping preserve and grow the traditions that have shaped my own Albertus experience—just as they have for generations of proud and dedicated alumni, and as they will for generations to come.
